This comforter is nice and fluffy. Just what we wanted. Most light to medium weight comforters are too thin. This one is lofty and medium weight without being too warm. I've not yet washed but will update. Down comforters are a real pain to redistribute after washing. I expect this one to be a bit easier based on the quality construction. We live in California where it doesn't get real cold. This is perfect for Fall and Winter. I'll reassess for the late Spring / Summer season. Although it breathes nicely so may work fine on it's own. We do use a top sheet and will be adding a cotton blanket as the weather is getting colder.
