Runs Full Size Too Small

I have a lot of Ralph Lauren sweaters and I have never had to size up before. I love the color and it is so soft. But when I held it up next to my other RL sweaters, you can definitely see it is a full size smaller. I did go ahead and purchase the next size up, but I’m still on the fence about keeping it because the shoulders drop down lower than they should.
