Great Quality but odd fit and extremely long

The dress is a really great quality: thick fabric, beautiful craftsmanship & attention to detail. My problems are similar to other reviews. The sizing is very small in the bust and waist so if you size up and are not a 5'9" model (I'm only 5'0") the dress is exceedingly long (slightly above my ankles). I really wish this came in Petite because I would have the black and the blue. It's a classic that never goes out of style.

Fabulous fabric.

Great lightweight dress for spring, summer, or fall. I bought this for a January church funeral in Boston. I purchased a navy sweater to add warmth and make it appropriate for a church funeral. The plunging neckline is much too low for this petite woman. It would be a great year-round dress if you live in a warm climate.

Lovely Classic Dress

Liked: 1/2 off sale's price, style, solid color (too many loud, busy fabrics these days), elegant simplicity, feminine, figure conscious, well-made, machine-washable, stretchy, forgiving fabric; Disliked: heavy fabric (although not too thick it felt like it pulled down heavily), gaping decolletage, tight waist, (would have liked a side zipper to help slide over shoulders and breasts. If you're not careful, you might bust the stitches at the waist while putting it on.) Given the fit elsewhere, I don't think a different size would help these issues. Even so, for the price I would have kept it but for the revealing neckline. I could not find an attractive solution for that. Always appreciate the quality of Ralph Lauren.

Great dress!

Great dress! I wasn’t expecting this to be anything special, and I think that’s what makes it good. Perfect black dress that will be great for last minute dressy occasion— funeral, wedding, and even work. It’s sliming the tie waist. I may need to pin the top if I wear to work, but overall I can see this being a great staple with added accessories that’s flattering and simple and won’t wrinkle in a suitcase.
