Why so big compared to slacks and jeans?

I wear a size 2 in the jeans and slacks so ordered a 2 in these. The waist is like 2 inches too big! Ran into same issue with chino flared legs. Size 0 fit okay in some colors but was still too big in Navy. Tried washing and shrinking but that didn’t work so I am stuck with them. Going to just return these.

Sharp Cargo

Very sharp looking pants that can be dressed up or worn casual. They launder well and are very comfortable. I have them in the black and the olive and get a lot of compliments when I wear them.
