Loved the color but sizing was off

Obviously size uniformity is slipping. I was very pleased with a pair of cotton wide leg pants (from the same collection) size 16 which flattered my pear shape. I assumed ordering the cotton twill pants in the same collection same size would be a no brainer. Was very disappointed to find that these pants fit like they were two sizes too small. Zipper opposition was about two inches apart. I did not even make an attempt to zip the zipper. Loved the color. Appreciated the pockets and substantial cotton fabric. Purchased online. Missed the old days finding my size, color, and style in the shops and being able to try on -or being able to rely on consistent sizing when ordering on line. Still love the brand but am ordering less faced with return fatigue.

They are baggy and the side pockets stick out. They stretch out after being worn. Unattractive.
