Meh

I really need a nice short trench. Small was big on me, X-Small fit okay. But the jacket was meh at best. It billows out in the back, and feels quite thick without the benefit of a warm lining. I was unimpressed and returned both.

Love, love, love

I looked everywhere for the trendy trench jacket. Most of them looked too short even though I am 5’4”. Also, the quality for the prices I saw didn’t seem great. I spotted this Ralph Lauren on the Macy’s website and thought I’d give it a try. I’m glad I did. It is a perfect length, quality and beautiful jacket. I may have paid a little more than other sites, but I know this will last for years. I did get it with the Friends and Family sale, so it was very reasonable for a quality coat. I ordered it in a large and medium because I was unsure of the sizing. For reference I am 5’4” as mentioned and 157 lbs. The medium fit a bit more tailored, but was perfect for me. The large was too baggy for me and sleeves too long. It would be your preference on how you want to use it. The length hit me an inch or too below my hip bones. I have a longer torso, but it’s perfect. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Not as pictured

The coat wasn't as pictured. I ordered my usual size and the sleeves were too long and wasn't as fitted as the picture. I did like the weight of the coat and it is well made. Too bad the sizing is off.
