Standard Measurement side

Here's the problem. On the standard side of the tape measure, the inch numbers re-start with 1, 2, 3, and so on at the beginning of each new foot. The tape measure would be easier to use if, for example, the inches following 1 foot were labeled 13, 14, 15 and so on. Not everything is measured in terms of, for example, 2 feet, 2 inches. The tape measure should read 26 inches.
