Great first build

We bought this as a first Lego set to see if our son would enjoy playing Lego. He (3yo) really enjoyed the build and it took him a fair while without too much coaching. The tree was a bit of a letdown as the foliage falls off. I reckon a cat would have been good. As it would have doubled the playing scenarios with one additional piece. However, he still loves it 6 months later, so it's a definite winner.

Quick build before shift!

My husband got this and a few other sets for Christmas. We had a great time putting this together before his shift at the station. He loved the bucket extender. Great if you've only got a few minutes to build or just want to expand your fleet.

Great introduction to LEGO

Build this together with my 2,5 yo. It was a challenging build for him, but the set made it easy with a clear difference between one piece and the next (either in color, or shape). The build itself is also very sturdy, (except for the tree), the firecar holds up to a lot of a abuse. It's also great that the wheels go on first! We've had lots of adventures with it and he loves to take it apart and rebuild it together. We've had the set for about 8 months now and he mostly knows it by heart now. I've bought an extra copy to store for when he gets older, because I think this is his "first" LEGO set. We have bought some other 4+ sets since, but this one stands out in building experience and sturdiness.

Simple Build

This build is very simple, could probably be in the Junior section to be honest. But for the money it is a fun set. Very simple play, would be good to have to add on to another set or a collection of vehicles. They are fairly generic figures but that’s nice for adding to a town/city. Overall this is a nice set, but I personally wish there was maybe one more element to it, to expand the play, but that would indeed increase the price. So for the money this is a good add on kit
