A lot of fun to build and play with
My 4 year old son wanted this for Xmas after seeing it in a flyer and while It is says ages 7 and up I thought "we'll let's get it and see how we do". We sat down one afternoon and I figured we'd do a bag or 2 and then take a break cause he is a fournado and doesn't tend to sit for long lol. Well he didnt want to stop. We worked on it for 3.5 hours start to finish and he LOVES it. There are a lot of super fun features like a trapdoor/tunnel, helicopter, boats, sharks, and his favourite was that they have a toilet to use too lol. While I don't have a lot of recent lego experience I do think that the build experience and play value of this set is excellent. Can't wait to get him another set to build with him. Great way to spend an afternoon with your little one :)

The Rock, Rocks!
This set is basically Alcatraz and its amazing! my 5 year old got this for his birthday and he has wanted it since Christmas, needless to say he lit up when he opened it. The build was fun and straightforward, and challenging enough where it made him think. Playing with it is super fun and you can do so many different things with it!

If you’re on the fence, get it
This was a really fun build, with a lot of cool little details. Much more intricate than I had expected for a set rated 7+. The cliff base and all of the escape routes were my favourite parts to build. It’s also a great value, with the building, 2 boats, and a helicopter included. My 5 year old daughter has been playing with it nonstop

No Escaping the Fun
I gave this to my grandson as a birthday gift and we built it together. He had as much fun playing with it during the build as he did building it. We laughed quite a bit at all of the details (the cells, the helicopter, the boats, the handcuffs, the escape hatch, etc). When finished, he and his younger brother and sister had a blast playing with it and floating the boat. This is probably the favorite build I have done with him so far.

Overcrowded prison cell
Good idea. Really needs more prison cells as 3 prisoners with one cell with two beds. Sometimes I wish lego would look into modular building possibly three separate sets that link together like to add more cells etc.

Amazing Lego set!
My kids enjoys to play with legos, they can build and build a hundred times, this set is so awesome! Includes a lot of pieces and fun characters, our pop pop was a police officer and the kids always plays with this set pretending one of the characters is their pop pop arresting the bad guys! Great set for high level skills.

I absolutely love this set! Great experience to spend quality time with your kids 😍 the design is what really surprised me, so detailed and precise. The quality is exactly what you would expect from a Lego set. It definitely will take you hours to build this one in particular, but well worth it!
