Best great hall ever

This is most definitely my favourite hogwarts piece. The build may be a bit repetitive but the result is well worth it. The snake is a questionable inclusion.

Great Set, Alot of fun.

I got this set a long time ago about 3 years from now but just reviewed it as I wanted to review it, This set is an amazing set that shows the best part of Hogwarts being the dining hall. Even though the set is made for kids it does not look as it and it is a amazing shelve display. If you want this set look no further as it is a truly magical experience.

Glaring mistakes.

I’m surprised I can’t find this talked about elsewhere. I have about 10 Harry Potter sets and like to build them in the order that they appear in the books. This one is troubling. They have the mirror of erised and Quirrel in this set so obviously it would be from the first book. But then they throw in Susan bones, Fawks, and the basilisk, which is in the chamber of secrets. I don’t know what’s going on with this one. There are a more sets also that are a hybrid. It wouldn’t hurt to read the books before you manufacture hundreds of thousands of sets.

Iconic Hogwarts

I mainly got this to display as such an iconic Hogwarts scene. I'm glad Lego went for grey roofs, much better than green. The Great Hall section is fantastic and very realistic. Not much food, but I've added plenty to make it more realistic. The tower part, though impressive from the outside, was inside as if the Lego designers had no imagination or gave up! But that is easily remedied and fun to do, making it into proper rooms with a function.

Must Have!

If you can only get one Harry Potter set you better buy this one. It connects to the whomping willow set quite nicely although there is a slight issue. The hall is brilliant and I decided to begin a small MOC which includes a house points hourglass and more seats for the head table, additionally I plan to make a podium. This sets minifigures are brilliant, with all of them fitting perfectly and while the cmf 2 Dumbledore was the best in my opinion this one is brilliant. The only disappointment is the tower which feels like a rushed build, however if you have the whomping willow set which includes a Gryffindor dormitory just put this in the tower. Defiantly buy this set, whether you are 6, 16 or 60, this is a must have.

Fun!

I loved this build! It wasn't too challenging, but it was difficult at the same time. I ended up renovating the two rooms near the staircase, because I have a different set and I ended up having 2 different potions rooms and I didn't really like the other room. I made Dumbledore's office and a tiny herbology room. I renovated the towertop as well and made it a mini astronomy tower.
