Soundwave Superior
I already owned the Optimus Prime model, which is excellent. This looked promising. Overall I'm very satisfied. My only complaint is that the hands and arms aren't properly concealed in its alt-mode. It would also be cool to have more of his cassette warriors available, even if they were sold separately. But it's a good solid build, highly poseable and stable, and the sound brick is a nice touch. (Another suggestion: replace the sound brick with a Bluetooth speaker module?)

Fun to build! Fun to play with! A+++
As a huge G1 Transformers fan, I was super excited when this set was being released. Since I had Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, there was no doubt that I was buying Soundwave. The final product is very detailed. It transforms very easily and doesn’t break apart when doing do. My favourite part would have to be the cassettes: Ravage and Laserbeak. They’re both so cool and fit perfectly inside Soundwave. They also transform very easily. This set has a decent amount of repetition and a few stickers. Overall, this set is definitely recommended to any Transformers fan.

Great build fantastic design
Really happy they bought out a Decepticon especially Soundwave, the detail is exceptional having the added cassettes Ravage and Lazerbeak that also transform is genius, the sound brick ice the icing on the cake. Absolutely amazing set Lego smashed it out the park with this.

its good
its not bad at all has some cool ideas .... i hate stickers on any build LEGO PRINT YOUR BLOCKS , stickers suck for kids and stuff . but its realyy pretty awesome legs need some positioning for his size besise that the 4.7 score is correct for me . but in general its a great kit.

Soundwave superior!
Rarely has a build brought me more joy. I was giggling like a little boy when I pushed the "play" button and heard Soundwave's voice and transformation sound. If you are a fan of the original Transformers, I don't understand why do not already own this set. Strictly viewed as a Lego set, it is very well done. Easy to build, yet so cleverly designed and it looks gorgeous. The transformation is smooth and easy, but there are one or two panels on the legs that have a tendency to fall off when transforming. Not much of a problem, they are easy to put back in place. It comes with Razorbeak and Ravage which is great (When can we get Frenzy and Rumble?). I put 4/5 for value simply because Lego sets in general are expensive. Compared to other Lego sets, it is quite worth it. Now, viewed as a Transformer Lego set, it is awesome! I still have my original mid eighties Soundwave toy. It has always been my favorite. This new set is both true to the original toy and the TV series. The head is the one from the cartoon, everything else is almost identical to the original toy, but bigger. Much BIGGER! The transformation is almost identical to the toy. The cassette bay is opened by pressing a button on his shoulder and it is just SO satisfying to open and close. You can fit one of the cassette in the bay. They even put tiny rubber pieces under his foot to give him some grip when standing up. The only low point I can come up with are that the back of the cassette player (when transformed) is not very convincing. The hands are visible and the weapons (that in the original toys turned into batteries that you stored in a compartment) are also visible. That's it! Those are the only points they could try to improve. Factor in the nostalgia and this set becomes a 12/10.

This is a very very good lego set. This lego set came with a rare sound brick, and sound wave, the bird, and the dog can all transform!

Instructions booklet is overkill
Everything is cool with Legos itself like usual however trying to make the instruction booklet cool with the grey background is a over kill, so hard to see it especially with dark color Legos..
