Disappointed
Sorry LEGO but this is not your best work, huge transformers fan and love Optimus and Bumblebee…but Soundwave is overpriced and poorly thought out, and just simply doesn’t work very well (not helped by missing parts), and although the parts were replaced, the mechanics of the transformation are poor and in my view the parts can’t live with the idea…so I’ve finished up being soundly disappointed…

More decepticons!!!
Proof why we need more Decepticons (Megatron, Starscream or even a multi build like Voltron for Devestator would be sublime) This set was on my wish list since it was first released, and I bought it for myself over Christmas...oh what fun. Really had to stop myself from constantly pressing the "play" button just to hear the sounds Excellent build, very sturdy when standing, and love the fact that Lazerbeak or Ravage can be put into the chest cavity (missed a trick not including Rumble though) Definitely recommend - did I mention to bring on Megatron or Starscream???

Missing Pieces
Multiple pieces missing from bag 8, integral ones I could not replace on my own. An unprecedented amount, more than I’ve ever seen rendering it UNBUILDABLE on bag 8-12. It’s a rare occurrence but this is unacceptable.

Loose joints collapsed at every transformation
Don’t bother with this one. It is poorly designed (looks nice but doesn’t transform well) It collapses with every movement. Never returned a lego item, this one was really crummy

Beautiful build/ terrible quality
I was so excited for this set literally all year. I finally got it and enjoyed the build so much, but the actual set is so bad. Every single joint is extremely loose, to the point you can barely pose the figure at all. At first it was just the shoulder joints, then it was the hand joints, now the knees/ankles are giving out. I've had this set for literally 5 days and it's already near useless. It can only be displayed in its Walkman form unless you super glue the whole thing together in the exact pose you want. I am incredibly disappointed in a way I never have been with Lego. (The image included was taken the first day I had it. The right arm already won't support its own weight, hence why it's dropping down)

Had High Hopes
I initially was very excited for this build(who wouldn't). As my build got closer to completing that's where the frustration began. So the legs do not stay together at all and posing not very good either. I just finished him today and not 5 min ago he fell because of bad connection at the hip/leg.... and busted completely on the ground. To spend the time building this then for it to be undone within seconds, not happy with this product at all. I really hope that someone can find a fix to make him more stable, for now he will sit broken in a box..... very bummed and disappointed with lego for not making it a more stable and playful set. I think it's great that their are more adult sets to choose from but I feel at this point it's more greed from the company than good builds. Of course I will still buy lego, but will choose more wisely.

Relive your childhood memories in Lego form
Had a secondhand sound wave as a kid in the 80’s. None of the cassette tapes. Making up for it now. Sound brick is a nice addition. Problem is how to display it? In “boombox” form? Robot form? Might have to get 2!

Awesome Christmas gift
Soundwave is as described. He is an advanced build. Minor issues in pivoting motions. Soundboard is awesome. Brings back nostalgia from original cartoon.
