Great product

Really reminds me of legoland and a great design. I loved it.

Fun roller coaster

Very fun to assemble and play with. Only drawback is tracks are too easy too disassemble.

Great set that could have been improved

I got this set for my kids, my son started to build it but it was definitely above his age (he's 6) because he made a few mistakes since the instructions are not that clear on some pages, because of the angle. Not a big deal, I helped him and this set is for 9 years and up. Overall, the set has a lot of great details, is very sturdy (at least the main build) and once the pieces were sorted out, not that long to build. It is disappointing that you need to push the train from the top before it goes down the track, so you cannot just give it one push and see it go until the end, you have to push it through the skull, and once again in the curve. Another element that could have been better designed is the water "splash" at the bottom of the slope, there is a piece that is supposed to be hit by the train and make the water "splash", but in reality it barely moves.

My 7 yo reward

My 7 year old picked this for good grades, grandparents gift to him. We built the main one and it was not sturdy at all. Fell apart while building and demolished when he ran the roller coaster. Yesterday I built the second one and it was, again, not sturdy and fell apart while running the coaster on the track. I would not recommend this LEGO set if your child expects to play with it. :(

Amazing Ride

My son has been wanting this set for a long while for his birthday. We got it and build it. It's so much fun to place different figures in line and make them ride. Pirate theme is so well done. We tried the gondola too it was fun but reverted back to the roller coaster. A fun experience to build and play.

Less than awesome

I think this set lacks coaster mechanics. The coaster track is short. There is no crank to get the coaster up the hill. The cars might but usually don’t make it from the skull at the top of the hill to the bottom without a push. No instructions included to even optionally put in a chain lift system. It’s hard to load the coaster at the station without it moving backwards down the small hill. It misses the mark for me. I own the larger creator coaster which probably adds to my disappointment with this set, as the larger coaster detail and engineering are impressive. This pirate coaster has zero physics planning. And it includes zero straight tracks and obviously only 4 curve pieces. Unimpressed

A lot of fun

My son is thoroughly enjoying this set. So far he has only built the roller coaster which is an incredibly designed set. We have both had so much fun with this set. The only negative thing I can say is the pillar with the skull arch is not very strong. You have to be careful putting it together or it explodes in your hand, likewise caution is needed to add the octopus to the pillar. Was a good challenging set for my 7 year old who built it by himself.

As others have mentioned, it's bigger than it looks. The roller coaster is fantastic (especially since the other option is set 10261 for a much higher price). The pirate theme is fun, but the pieces can be used to create plenty of other things. As someone who waited on to this set, I highly recommend getting it before it's gone. I'm excited to make this a fixture in my city!
