Excellent LEGO Volvo
I bought this and when it turned up I was very exited. Building it was quite fun, especially when it came to building the engine. Some bits could have had a slightly better design, but overall it was very impressive. I downloaded the CONTROL+ app on my iPad, and it worked brilliantly. This Volvo is definitely an extremely good set, with every little detail included. I am very happy, thank you very much LEGO!

So much fun, when it connects
I had an incredible time building this set. I found the instructions very clear and the bag sizes where perfect. Getting the software working to drive it was straight forward, I have an incredibly hard time maintaining a connection though so play time is intermittently stopped while I regain the connection but this is more because Bluetooth is a horribly unreliable technology then anything.

Build experience
As I got started with the build everything was going great but near the middle of the build I found out the it wend into 1st gear but not 2nd or 3rd also the tipper was not working

It's never fun when things don't work as they should. From what you’ve described, a little rebuilding might be in order. You’ll want to make sure that each part is in the exact position shown in the instructions and that everything’s pressed together tightly (except the gears, which need some extra room to turn). Won't connect
Finally got to build this set and now it's not connecting. I followed the instructions and tried everything, still won't connect.

Looks better than it is
After having to go through and rebuild this for my son, thinking he'd made grave mistakes or missed parts of the instructions it appeared that he'd actually followed the instructions down to the smallest detail. However it's a completely unpractical 'toy' build and relatively unusable. This is mainly due to the fact that the front cab section regularly comes away from the rest of the body. Placing any load into the tipper forces the lifters to come away from the body with every lift. Can't believe that for this price, lego have allowed this set to be sold. I can't believe that I will have to re-engineer this set to stop it from falling apart. Love lego but this set is such a let-down.

Great set and build experience, but
I ordered the set 11/30/22 and it arrived 12/12/22. I started building it around 1pm Monday and ended at the number 3 bags around 5. I then went ahead and continued and finished bags #4 Tuesday morning. When I tested it with control+ and when I tried to raise the bucket it went in reverse. I removed the bucket and looked at the gearbox. It wasn’t shifting to the spot it was supposed to raise the bucket. I called Lego customer support and the lovely assistant tried a few things to troubleshoot with me. We eventually figured out that I forgot three gears. I added those and recalibrated the set. It then worked well. There was a grinding sound though when I used this function. I removed both linear actuators and the sound was coming from one of them. It worked sort of. I contacted Lego for a replacement part and my order was placed. Otherwise the building experience was great and a decent challenge you expect with bigger technic sets. I enjoy playing witht the model and the details that went into it. Props to the designer who thought of this amazing and fascinating gearbox and the way to build the bucket. If I got a working linear actuator I would have given this 5 stars. Still my new favourite Lego set.

Design Flaw
Overall I enjoyed building this model, but play value, especially with younger children is low as there’s a bud design flaw. The cab section keeps pulling apart at the articulated joint if you don’t pick this up properly and it’s a pain to get it back together due to having to thread an axel and engage a small gear in an awkward location. I had to do this three times already. The model isn’t durable. I tried to look repeatedly if I missed some step to reinforce the connection but I followed the instructions exactly. I think it is possible to improve this joint connection at the expense of not allowing the cab to swivel so I might dig out some spare parts and try to mod it. As is every time you pick it up there’s a risk to the cab separating.

Volvo
Hello It was a very difficult build. Now it has stopped moving. It will not go forward and the bucket does not move. It will not calibrate. Very expenses paper weight.
