Smart Docks

We love having a fleet of Smart Docks in our environment. We're able to monitor and control all firmware updates to the docks, even when a PC isn't connected.

ThinkPad Universal Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock Improv

The ThinkPad work station did not have sufficient ports for my application. It has 2 thunderbolt, a HDMI, a usb C, usb A and a memory card reader. There was no ethernet port. I purchased the dock as a way to get a ethernet port. I immediately found that with the Thunderbolt 4 Smart Dock it was very easy to disconnect the dock when I needed to use the work station off site. I just had to disconnect the thunderbolt connection to the dock and could leave the rest of my desk setup. I checked with Lenovo sales to insure that this dock was compatible with my work station. I now know that the dock ships with a 92 watt power supply and my work station wants a 170 watt power supply. Disappointing!

Awesome Thunderbolt 4 docking station

The Lenovo Universal Thunderbolt 4 Docking Station works great with my Lenovo Thinkpad X13 gen 2. I have 2 Thinkvision 27” monitors, a wireless keyboard, and mouse hooked to the docking station. I use this setup daily at work. It is an awesome setup that promotes productivity. Our entire office runs on Lenovo laptops and docking stations.

It "should" work okay

I'm having a difficult time running two external monitors off my laptop. It did work when my IT set things up, but I'm having a hard time replicating. Maybe better or larger print directions would help.

Poor second display.

Second monitor is blurry, even after switching wires, monitors, and ports on back of dock. Online service was unhelpful.

No prior IT experience required!!!

Great dock for the new line of laptops deploying in our environment. Quick to setup and responsive with existing devices as well. No need to configure Thunderbolt Control Center for TB4 connections!!
