Must Need Device

The Thinkpad dock is a much needed accessory. I have tried every USB C workstation dock, the cheap ones and the expensive ones, and nothing compares to this one. For people like me who use their laptop more like a traveling desktop, you need one (or two) of these so you can plug and play while being able to leave and return to your saved settings.

Size Perfect; Performance Poor

Size is perfect but alas I have 2 monitors and sometimes I will get 1 screen, another 2, and others just 1 again. Sadly disappointed. When the monitors go off it does a loud pop like the power is going out.

Excellent Reliability and Stability

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The primary issue I have had with docks in the past is reliability. There has usually been some combination of issues connecting, disconnecting, or staying connected, which manifest in short dropouts, displays reorienting, and other anomalies, including Windows crashing entirely. This dock has been rock-solid on all fronts. After my laptop is plugged in it instantly provides access to all the peripherals, and they stay connected until I disconnect. There have been no dropouts or any other issues I have experienced in the past.

De clutter the desk.

The universal USB-C dock does just what it is supposed to do. It keeps all my frequent connectors together and out of the way. I only need the one connection to the laptop. I have a couple of thumb drives and a ham radio and my internet connection, and soon a second monitor all tucked away and out of sight instead of cluttering up my desk. When I need to take my laptop out, I do not need to undo 4 or 5 devices. This dock is so handy, I wish I had done this years ago. Also, it does not seem to be susceptible to RF fields nearby, and it does not seem to produce any spurious RF emissions.

USB-C Dock increases mu productivity

The USB-C Dock has enabled me to enhance the capability of my laptop by utilizing external monitors, keyboard and mouse that I have. With just one connection to the laptop and I am connected to the Ethernet and three monitors. The laptop sits on a shelf with the lid closed providing plenty of desk space for my research materials. I am much more productive with the Dock, should have done it sooner!
