Large, Substantial and Lovely...
These footed mugs are classic, large and substantial at about 16oz. my family loves to use them for soup or chili on cold winter days. I have had no issues with cracking in the microwave or dishwasher, and if you go to the Lenox website, it states that they are indeed dishwasher and microwave safe. So far so good here!!! I have purchased (10 of each) the Butlers Pantry "Gourmet" plates (about 10"), the footed mugs (large and substantial) and footed rice bowls (also quite large). Just today, I purchased the "large" Butlers Pantry "Buffet" dinner plates, which are 11.5" and my cabinets are 12", so I have no storage issues what so ever. I intend to purchase 10 of the the Butlers Pantry all purpose bowls (about 12 oz. capacity), which will be great for cereal in the morning. I am just thrilled with my new dishes!
Simply Beautiful
I love the mugs, they are my most favorite. I experienced some shipping issue but Macy's excellent customer service addressed and resolved the issue right away.
Not my cup of tea
You can't tell online, but these mugs are much larger than I expected. I returned them and bought the smaller Butler's Pantry Gourmet version which is still a good size, but not over-sized like this one.
great glass ware
My mom has 6 of these mugs. she loves these mugs and we have coffee in them. she loves lenox alot. and she wants more lenox dishes.
Why Can't They Be Microwave Save???
These are beautiful mugs... great for serving Irish Coffees or Latte' but not for everyday if you tend to re-warm your coffee because they are NOT microwave safe. I have not had the problem of surface cracks like a previous reviewer... maybe they put theirs in the microwave thus causing them to crack??? LENOX, can't these be made to be microwave safe like the dinner plates, etc.? Alas, their beauty overrides the one drawback!
We love our butlers pantry...but, when we washed these mugs in the dishwasher they came out crackled. I am surprised to see them labeled dishwasher safe. We have very unfotunately stopped using them much.
