Quality isn't what it used to be

I've purchased many Lenox items over many decades, and could always count on excellent quality. This one missed the mark by a lot. Like it wasn't even inspected before being packed in the box. Also, it was wrapped in paper instead of a plastic bag, which means it was coated with lots of staticky styrofoam nibs that made a lovely mess. I hope this is a one-off miss, but I have the feeling it isn't. Even on sale, it wasn't worth the price.
