High waist looks dumb

I thought these would be the cut off shorts from my memories of the old days. I think even in the 90s we didn't wear such high waisted shorts. Well, we did when we were looking like mom-jeans-wearing nerds, but not for the Daisy Duke look. I will look for shorts that sit lower on the hip.

Picture this: it’s the start of fall. Palm Fran’s are turning brown, pumpkin spice is in full swing, and every store has decided shorts no longer exist. Meanwhile, I’m in full panic mode — I need shorts for a show tonight. Time is ticking. My hopes? Gone. My faith in retail? Hanging by a thread. Then enters Alex. The legend. The myth. The retail hero I didn’t know I needed. With the calm confidence of someone who’s seen things, Alex accepted the impossible mission: find shorts in October. I’ve already been in the store for ten minutes, my hopes we down at this point. Alex without hesitation pointed me to exactly what I’ve been searching for, holding the last pair of shorts known to mankind. I swear, there was a faint golden light and distant angelic choir music. If there were a Nobel Prize for customer service, Alex would’ve won it on the spot. Someone get this person a raise, a crown, and maybe a cape.
