A simple and lovely book.

Little Women is a beautiful book. It's a classic. I have read many books in my short time of living and they are all chaotic. Involving dystopia, magic, and fantasy. Little women were like a breath of fresh air, to finally have a more simple book. The story revolves around four young sisters, all somewhat stereotypical; you see them face poverty, living without their father, death, and finding a husband. I have heard many good things about this book but did not think it would be worth my time, I cared more about reading the trending and new books. This book surprised me. Even with a simple plot and overused character personalities I still managed to fall in love with all of them. Louisa May Alcott beautifully portrayed all of those girls very well, but what really made it work was all of them together. Their personalities clash in a perfect way. This story is great for young girls. Especially the ones with sisters, because it teaches a valuable lesson showing to always love your sisters and to waste time arguing with them. This was not the “best book I’ve ever read” but I do appreciate her simplicity. As I was saying before, books these days have so much going on in them but little women is exactly what I was looking for. I feel like everyone tries to complicate things to be different, everywhere I go people are trying new styles and changing personalities just to be outside of the norm, to be the exception, but there is beauty in the basics. Things are “overused” for a reason, because they are loved. Malcott's characters represent each type of woman. They show real life situations and problems. This is a book almost anyone can relate to. Little women is a classic, it’s a must read, it was one of the first books written for women and women specifically. It is necessary to read a book that was one of the firsts for its time. To know who started it for everyone else. Although I sincerely enjoyed this book, one thing that threw me off was the writing style. When all four girls and the mother were speaking, sometimes it was hard for me to understand who was talking and when. Besides that I think she used a writing style that was once again simple. It got the point across and explained the plot. Overall I enjoyed this book and must insist you give it a try.

Little Women and Other Novels

After seeing the 2019 "Little Women" film as well as the "Little Men" series on Amazon Prime, I knew I had to read these books. This collection of novels (Little Women, Little Men & Jo's Boys) is absolutely beautiful & Little Women is now one of my favorite books of all time. Unfortunately, this book had many obvious typographical errors which were quite distracting. If I could go back, I would purchase different editions of these books.
