Web ID: 16292007A story of heartbreak and sibling bonds
Addie is in Ireland for a destination wedding, but she can’t wait until it’s over so she can fly to Italy to see her best friend, Lina. Unfortunately, fighting with her brother, Ian—who won’t let her forget what she did this summer that left her miserable and dreading the upcoming school year—is taking its toll. When her plans are derailed and she’s thrown into a tour of Ireland with the help of an unusual guidebook, “Ireland for the Heartbroken,” Addie hopes to save her relationship with her brother and heal her tender heart… This sequel was just as addictive as the first book in this series. I didn’t want to stop listening. I was drawn deeply into the sibling conflict as they unraveled each other’s secrets, planned their futures, and tried to make their way through heartbreak. And Addie’s budding connection with Ian’s friend, Rowan, was sweet and thankfully didn’t move too fast. A fun YA series! I can't wait to listen to book 3!

A trip into Ireland itself!
I decided to read this novel after reading Love and Gelato. The story takes place in Ireland and captures the true feeling of a road trip. The main character, Addie, is currently trying to overcome heartbreak. Her original plans were to go to Italy to be comforted by her best friend, but the plan gets turned upside down when she finds herself exploring the countryside with her brother Ian and his friend Rowan. I loved the genuine feelings of the characters and the way the book was written. It was very well-written, describing the setting very well. I almost felt like I was right there with them. However, I feel that the ending was a bit weak as it ended on kind of a letdown. Other than that, the book was really enjoyable and kept me entertained throughout the whole story, minus the ending.

Great!
Love and Luck by Jenna Evans Welch is an enchanting novel that captures the adventures of a road trip. The main character, Addie, is on a quest not just to explore the scenic beauty of the Emerald Isle but also to recover her broken heart and find closure from an event back home. As Addie travels on this journey, she is accompanied by her brother Ian and his friend Rowan, who both have their own reasons for the trip. Together, they take on and find winding roads and castle ruins, each landmark bringing them closer to understanding each other and themselves. Welch’s narrative is a blend of humor, heartfelt moments, and the magic of wanderlust. She creates a vivid picture of Ireland, its culture, and its folklore, making the reader feel as if they are sitting in the backseat of the car, listening to the banter and the music, and watching the world go by. The characters are relatable and their interactions are genuine, which makes the story quite engaging. The book is like a guide to healing, with each chapter leading to a step in Addie’s journey towards forgiveness and acceptance. In Love and Luck, Jenna Evans Welch proves once again, following Love and Gelato, that her books are a masterpiece in which allows the readers to connect.. It’s a book that encourages you to get lost, only to find new paths and possibilities. A must-read for anyone who enjoys fictional pieces with characters offering many adventures and emotions.

Cute and sweet family love
Man I love this series. It’s the perfect calming yet “I have to know” series. I love the mystery and the heart-felted-ness. I really love that this book wasn’t based on romance but family love. I don’t know if it took me a while to read this one because of personal reasons or because it was a little slow. I did love it though. Not quite as much as Love & Gelato but still so sweet.

A book that makes you want to travel
Warning: this book will make you want to drop everything and immediately travel to Ireland! Addie is running away from her mistakes and what better place to do that than in Ireland for her aunt’s destination wedding? All she has to do is survive a few days and she’ll be off to Italy to see her best friend and to forget the heartache that awaits her back home. But her brother, Ian, won’t let the past go. In her efforts to avoid Ian and the past, Addie stumbles across a unique guidebook that promises healing and distraction until it’s time to leave. Unfortunately, a change of plans finds Addie trapped in a tiny car with Ian and his friend, Rowan; however, with the help of the guidebook and some new friends Addie might just find the strength to stop running and to allow herself to heal. This book was my favorite in the series so far, which is saying a lot since I quite enjoyed Love and Gelato. I do have to say that this book was more a coming of age story than a romance, but it definitely had a romantic subplot! It’s full of delightful descriptions, witty dialogue, and clever one-liners. Additionally, this book had one of the best sibling dynamics I’ve ever read! If you’re missing traveling as much as I am, you should give Love and Luck a read to help chase the COVID-blues away.

More About Family and Heartbreak
So I bought this book because I had already read "Love & Gelato." I have to say this book was not filled with romance, it was more so about her overcoming heartbreak and connecting and bonding with her brother in Ireland. That being said the book was quite interesting and different from what I usually read. I'm a hopeless romantic. The book overall made me feel very happy and I loved Addie she had spunk and was sassy. I reccommend it if your looking for a book about self discovery. I you're looking for a romance filled book this may not be the one.
