Almost blackout, not completely.
I bought this about 3 months ago and love it! It shipped in fast came in with almost no wrinkles and folded up very nicely! I love the bright yellow color! It is nice and thick with some weight to it, but still a little flowy when they are covering my window. Minus one star because although they are mostly blackout, when the morning sun hits it (my window is facing east), a considerable amount of light peaks through. During midday, though, it darkens my room really well!

Truly blackout
These curtains are wonderful. They are everything advertised. The grommets are neutral in way that you can use any type rod and they will blend. The material is like twill. The back is white. Some ironing was needed but was not a difficult task. Washed on a gentle cycle, and hang dry....curtains came out fine. Light does filter in on edges, but that's unavoidable. I added a photo from when the sun was facing my window. The ones pictured are the "wheat" color. Wanted to add additional images, but it's only allowing one to upload. I have the light gray as well as burgundy. They are all true to description. Highly recommend.

Truly Blackout
These are the first curtains I ever bought which are actually true blackout curtains. They don't let any light in at all. I really wish the panels were just a bit wider though. They would look more elegant.

Exceptional curtains, perfect neutral color
I live in a condominium that had all blinds covering all windows. Until friends/family stayed the night and pulled the blinds all the way up, did I realize how much of the view they were obstructing. Ive been told it has a much softer look now.

I admit to doubting that white curtain panels, especially those with large grommet holes at the top, which will let in light if close to the top of the window, would actually work as advertised. Installed correctly, above the top window line and using a curtain rod with a very little depth, thus keeping the curtain very close to the wall, lets you see how these panels block light on even the sunniest days. The panels are therefore also quite effective in controlling overly warm temperatures and helping keeping the room comfortable. I'm really impressed -- black-out curtains at an affordable price have come a long way!

Definitely blackout
Does exactly what it says....blackout. Thick, and served its purpose. Used in one of the bedrooms that gets way too much sun, and the sun glare on the television was awful. The blackout panels not only keep the sunlight out, but kept the room cool. Highly recommend
