Smells like mold/mildew

What is it with this product? It smells like mildew! I used it for a couple of years then I got a batch that smelled, then another. I quit using it but this year they gave it to me as a birthday gift (which I appreciate). I love the product otherwise but I can’t use something on my face that smells like mold or mildew.

Another staple that I use all the time!

This will make your skin more healthy, and fresh and add a healthy glow. If I don’t use it for a couple weeks, I have noticed my skin looking drab again. I’m in my 50s.

Better than expected

I originally purchased the M-61 PowerGlow Peel based on the rave reviews about its exfoliating power. Unfortunately, it didn’t deliver those results for me. I didn’t experience the skin-smoothing or brightening benefits that others reported, even with consistent use. As an exfoliator, it just didn’t meet my expectations. However, I unexpectedly found a completely different use for it—as a daily deodorant—and it’s been a total game changer. I use the peel daily on areas I wax (underarms, bikini line, etc.), and I’ve noticed it’s mild enough to prevent ingrown hairs while still being effective against odor, especially stress sweat, which is my biggest concern. I’ve also tried the M-61 body wipes, but found those left a slightly sticky residue. The face peel, by contrast, dries down more cleanly and wears comfortably throughout the day. What I appreciate most is how non-irritating and clean it feels. No strong scent, no residue on clothes, and it leaves my skin calm—not inflamed or dry. For anyone who’s struggled with irritation or clogged pores from traditional deodorants, this might be a surprising and gentle alternative. So while it didn’t work for me in its intended function, I continue to repurchase it for this off-label use. It’s discreet, effective, and worth the price to keep odor at bay without sacrificing skin health.
