Too Small, Avg size cell phone can barely fit

Its not quite what I was expecting. Its quite small. I may give to my teen granddaughter. It may be to small for her too. I have an average sized cell phone and I must place it sideways in order for it to barely fit in the bag along with a few other small items

This bag is great quality. The metal hardware is sturdy. However, it is MUCH smaller than pictured. It does follow the dimensions listed in the description, but the photo is extremely deceiving.
