I have a Le Creuset pot and it is pretty much the same pot without the high price tag! It's a different size so I use them for different things but when I tried making bread in it, it came out perfect! Heat distribution is definitly even and holds the heat well. Would recommend!

5.5dutch oven - red
This was my first order with MadeIn. Totally impressed with company and product. Ordering simple. Arrived before estimated date. Very sturdy packaging. Arrived in perfect condition. Love the red color. Size is perfect for my needs. Never cooked with a Dutch oven before so am looking forward to choosing it as primary cooking vessel. Inside smooth not nubby. Self basting lid fits very well. Non stick so need less oil. Definitely is pretty enough to cook item and move to table for serving. Heavy but stays put on glass stove top. Heat retention is marvelous. Can actually turn off burner and allow it to cosst cooking while finishing rest of meal prep. Also keeps food hot until ready to serve. Delighted with the 5.5 round Dutch oven.

Fantastic dutch oven!
I love the Made In 5.5 qt dutch oven. I was deciding between Le Creuset, Staub, and Made In since they are all made in France. I decided to go with the Made In because it seems like a better value and testing shows it retains heat better than the Le Creuset and I'm so glad I did! I got the red color with the brass handle and it's beautiful, high quality and well made. I've used it to bake sourdough and made chicken and soup with it. Heats evenly and is non-stick. I love it and highly recommend it!

So far so good
We have cooked two meals in our new Dutch Oven and have found it easy to use, evenly heating, easily cleaned after use. I am impressed with the size of this item. It is larger than I expected. It is lighter weight than I expected, as well, because I am used to the Le Cruset enameled cast iron, which is much heavier, but I wanted to save some money so purchased Made In. I also have several Griswold cast iron pieces that I have collected over the years from antique stores. I love my Griswold and cook on it nearly exclusively, however, I wanted a Dutch Oven that did not react to tomato sauces or other acid foods. That is why we purchased this product. So far I have no complaints, but I am concerned with the relatively light weight of this piece. It remains to be seen how it performs. Hopefully, all will be well.
