I'm usually a 12, (not offered as a choice for the 'size usually worn'. Sometimes a 14. I ordered a 14 and it actually hurt to get it on, with the source being that 'wrapped belt' around the waist. It is sewn down to most of the suit, leaving approximately 5 inches of flexible area. The pattern is lovely, and the suit fit elsewhere, once I could get it on. I could have ordered the 16, but I returned it and opted for another style. If you have curvy hips, I would not recommend this suit.

This is very flattering. The dark pattern and twist in the middle minimize my tummy well. I also like that the V neck is modest. Overall it has been a gray pool suit that stays in place even doing laps. I got one size up from my dress size and fits perfect.
