Smells like mothballs after 3 washes

The cut and stylng are nice, but this item is not one I would recommend to anyone. It arrived directly from the manufacturer and smelled so strongly of mothballs or some other chemical that I would not bring it into my laindry pile for fear of spreading the smell. I washed it three times with "Poof" which removes old dog smells with ease, and it still slightly smells unpleasant. I rated the garment two stars for the cut, denim quality and style. I would not by products from this brand again.
