Alaska tested

I bought a pair of Men's PreCip rain pants for a trip to Alaska, were they were severely tested. The pants stood up well to days of rain and hiking cross country through sopping brush.

Dependable rain pants

I’ve been backpacking for 45 years and need quality gear. My Marmot rain pants are fantastic. They are breathable, easy to put on over my boots and easy to take off over my boots! The fit is perfect and the waistband does its job. I wore out my old pants and just bought a new pair. The new pair is being broken in on our trip to rainy Norway and they have performed as expected. It’s been raining every day and it’s not a drizzle to say the least. The pants are extremely breathable which matters a lot. I’d recommend these rain pants to anyone who is looking.

Quality pants but fit is lacking.

Nice quality pants. I was hoping they would be a good match for the absolutely perfect, tailored fit of my Marmot Precip jacket. Unfortunately, the fit is terrible. They fit more like snow pants. Not rain pants. I’m 5’8” and ordered the short length. My inseam is 30-31”. These pants are at least 3-4” too long. The legs are large enough to wear over multiple layers of of jeans. They may even fit over insulated snow bibs. Maybe I just didn’t know what to expect? They also seem overpriced by about 40%. I’m not sure these baggy pants cost the same as your amazing jackets.
