too thin

I was looking for a bed covering like the one my mom had in the 70s. I usually love Martha Stewart’s products so this seemed like a perfect fit. The cover feels more like an oversized blanket. It doesn’t have that “welcome to bed” reward I was expecting. The king size was 8” too short for my bed so it hangs midway. Good quality cotton, nice embroidery, but reveals bumps in bed giving a sloppy look. Definitely not worth even the sale price. I would return it but had to prewash to get rid of the musty smell! Will use as a throw folded at the end of my bed or a sofa cover when my kid’s friends sleep over.
