Great Idea!

I very much like these for drive ingredients. The lever slides across the top to even out the ingredient. Very sturdy.

Why didn't I think of this?

It's the perfect answer to a measuring spoon! Instead of going to hunt down a knife or some other flat object to measure off your flour, your sugar, et cetera, you now have it Built-in to your measuring spoon. Why didn't they ever think of this long ago?
