Disappointed

I bought this item a month ago after reading the good reviews. Mine broke after using it twice, I notice a crack after the first use and I thought it would hold up. Used it a second, and part of the bottom of the mortar broke off. So disappointed because I have always been satisfied with everything I have bought from Macy's.

Most useful tool ever!

Even though it's heavy, once getting used to it, you will discover its advantages.

Good Quality

I normally shy away from Martha Stewart products because of quality issues, but I took a chance on this item and I'm glad I did. It is quite large for a standard mortar and pestle which is nice and it has some nice features, such as the grip area on the handle and in the bowl for your spices. It's also dishwasher safe. It would be a great addition to any kitchen.
