Why?

One must ask why Disney / Marvel thought it would be a good idea to denigrate Captain America? What would Walt have said about denigrating the nation which made company's success possible, and continues to do so? Why would Disney the modern Corporation think it appropriate to do this given how much it benefits from the American taxpayer, including on the unreasonable extension of copyright protection?
