An Iron Chief’s legacy

I grew up watching Morimoto as an Iron Chef. To finally cook under his instructions, thorough this book, is an amazing experience. The instructions are clear and the resulting taste have all been amazing. I use this book on a daily basis. Highly recommend this gif your personal kitchen library.

One of my favorite cookbooks

I have been looking for some time for a Japanese cookbook that is truly accessible for a home cook in a western kitchen. I have struck out several times but this is the book. Morimoto really is like Jacques Pepin, a master chef with no pretension, who understands how to elevate home cooking. I buy and read and use a lot of cookbooks and this is one of my favorites.

Incredible and Accessible

We've only begun cooking a few recipes from this, but it is a masterpiece. Chef Morimoto explains everything clearly and concisely, with humor and stories from his own life. Also explains the why behind everything, not just the how. Genuinely can't recommend it enough.

Outstanding Masterpiece

I bought this last year. I collect cookbooks old and new. Some chefs and cooks will put out new books repeatedly to bolster their income. This book was a creation. A creation from a lifetime of experience and expertise. The book is a treasure. When I see a negative review about this book I suspect that perhaps that person was an unsuccessful job applicant when Morimotoo was hiring. Or, it is someone else that put out a book and considers Morimoto to be competition -which of course they aren't. Thank you Morimoto -for sharing this book. I will always respect you for this book and your career.
