An airplane steering yoke is mounted on a sturdy wooden cockpit dashboard with a snap-on windscreen that fits three double-sided, full-color destination scenes. A four-position throttle plays engine sounds and adjusts the speed of a scrolling map, turn the yoke to move a mini-plane in the scrolling display press and hold a button to record a message, and release to play back with voice change. Turn the destination dial to hear "Hello" in six different languages English, mandarin, French, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic and press the radio button for music from each destination United States of America, China, France, India, South America, and Africa. Other sound effects include turbo boost, night mode changes the color of dials, too, seatbelt, weather options, landing gear, and turning. Light-up dials include altimeter, horizon, heading, and airspeed indicators. Add to the pilot role play experience with the pretend play headset and take-off and landing checklist. The dashboard, which has two volume options, the toy automatically turns off after approximately nine minutes of inactivity to prevent battery drain.

Other occasion to buy:Ended up ordering the toy from a toy store online.

Broken Toy on Christmas Day

My grandson wanted this toy from Santa so grandma ordered it online. When he opened it on Christmas Day, it didn't work! We tried 3 different sets of new batteries. Very disappointing. When I returned it, the clerk said most of their toys are returned because they don't work. WHY???

Dashboard doesn’t work.

The paper screen doesn’t change. Received new as a gift from elderly neighbor so unable to return. Disappointing for the high price point.

Amazing. My 3 year old and 1 year old love it! And love “flying”. My son is autistic and very interested in airplanes. I like that it has a throttle and buttons similar to a real cockpit.

Cheap garbage and even worse customer service

I was sent a defective item, and treated quite poorly by Melissa & Doug in my (unsuccesful) attempt to get a replacement. The cheap toy's paper inside was all torn up (making loud clicking noise as it turns), despite us buying it brand new-- and customer service was first unresponsive, then refusing to get me a replacement. So dissapointed by the quality but especially the lack of customer service, after I have bought over a hundred Melissa & Doug products that I've never needed to contact them about.
