Too Unpredictable

The grinder cup doesn't stay in place unless you hold it very firmly. If you pick a 6 cup grind you’ll end up with anything from 6-12.

Adequate grinder, but with a few deal breakers

was excited to receive this grinder, and to stop buying ground coffee for pour-over, which by the end of the 2 lb bag had lost much of it's flavor, not to mention it's freshness. the unit seems well made, and assembled easily - I too was a little confused when it wouldn't turn on, the hopper sets the burrs and required another full rotation around to allow the power switch to operate... anyhow, the ground coffee coming from the machine is pretty decent, whereas the noise and the dusty mess are not. it's quite jarringly loud indeed, but the real issue is the mess. the coffee grounds don't simply fall into the receptacle, they're forcefully sprayed out to the bottom side of the lid. consequently, much of the fine grounds stick to the lid and make quite a mess upon opening. decent value for the price point, but I'm going to return and select a different grinder even though it will likely cost a good bit more.

As good as the ad claims

I'm always a little surprised when a product is as good as the ad claims. This is one such product. Nice simple to operate features, big feed container, reasonably quiet, no mess, and compact size compared to others of the type. I had a bit of trouble assembling it properly but worked it out. Recommended.
