Another product that just isn’t what it used to be
Disappointed Long-Time Customer – Quality Has Declined Gold Toe used to be my favorite brand of socks. Prior to this current version, they felt well-made with quality materials and a soft, cushioned feel. Unfortunately, that’s no longer the case. Although these are labeled to fit shoe sizes 12–16, they felt more like tight compression socks on my size 11 feet. The material is now thin, rough, and scratchy—nothing like the comfort I used to expect from this brand. I couldn’t return them fast enough. In their effort to cut costs and reduce quality, Gold Toe has lost a loyal customer. It’s frustrating that companies assume we won’t notice when they lower product standards. I notice—and when I do, I take my business elsewhere.
