Surprising Poor Quality
We got these exact shoes previously and they performed well for our twin boys. This time they only wore them lightly a few (like 3-4 times) before both got the same unusual ear pattern. It is worse since the photo. Big price for big disappointment.

Velcro saddness
Velcro issues that wore out in days. They need to be kid tough in the future.

Perfect all around hiking shoes
Wanted a low top hiking boot for my 11 year old, with a Velcro closure to wear to school and day hikes. Great fit, decent traction for wet or snow conditions . Beefy but not bulky. Great value!

Buy these over Skechers EVERYTIME.
These shoes are great. This is the second pair we’ve bought (sized out of the last pair) and I prefer these to other kid’s Merrell versions. They keep their tread, don’t split at the seam, and are generally comfortable and supportive for my 7 year old boy’s feet.

Perfect for hiking in all conditions

Great hiking shoes!
These shoes have excellent grip, are water resistant, and comfortable for our four year old. He blazed many trails this summer with these Trail Chasers.

Great shoe for kids
Comfortable shoe for picky 9yr old. Never complained about his feet hurting after full days of hiking. He never hurt his toes or slipped on rocks in these shoes.
