Love these boots!
I wore these boots in Fairbanks in December during a cold spell and they were great (-32)! I wouldn’t spend extended periods of time outside with them. There are appropriate boots for that but they were amazingly warm and had great grip for walking around outside during regular activities. Obviously they rock for all hiking in the lower 48.

Moab Repeat
This is my second pair of the Moab 3 Waterproof boots. I wore my last pair so much I walked them to a point where I didn't have any tread left and they finally cracked. I loved the boots and caught a break on the Christmas savings. I retired the old pair, and I am sporting a brand-new pair. These boots were used everywhere from trails to vineyards. I never worried about wet feet and the old pair kept me dry throughout their lifespan. Love these boots.

Significantly less shock absorption
in the heel and midfoot than the older version of Moab 3 mid WP I had purchased a couple of years ago.

Waterproofing?
Super comfortable at first but after a few weeks they became really painful with new calluses that formed trying to protect my feet. Then to top it off I hit a rainy patch where it was raining constantly and THE WATERPROOFING COMPLETELY FAILED ME.
