I bought a pair of the Men's Moab Speed 2 shoes from the Armed Forces Exchange a month or two ago. I left a high star review there based on how well they fit and felt. However, after a month of use, I have noticed a flaw with the materials used. Around here, the ticks and chiggers are plentiful and hungry. If I don't spray everything below the knees with a DEET product each morning before going outside, then I will be covered in itching welts for weeks. Apparently the adhesive used to attach material around the lace holes and styling fails after exposure to the Edge DEET insect repellent spray. Those pieces are wrinkling and coming off as the adhesive fails. I had the same issue with a pair of Hey Dudes, even worse because the shoes developed cracks and I threw them away. I looked at my other running and hiking shoes, they are fine. But they have stitching instead of adhesive. My MOAB's still seem wearable so far, but they look horrible. Some pieces have come completely off. I strongly suggest ditching the adhesive and use stitching, or find a better adhesive.

Great hiking shoes
Bought these for a week in Acadia National Park. They are so comfortable yet sturdy. The grip is fantastic, and they are very very lights . I am so happy with this purchase.

Hike Lake Tahoe in Moab Speed 2’s
Great hiking shoes. Used these in the Nevada Sierra Mountains outside of Lake Tahoe to hike the Cascade Falls. Comfortable, good traction, great fit.
