Runs large!
I have the Encore Breeze 4 in a size 9 & it fits perfectly. I saw on the Merrell website that the Breeze 5 runs big. I called the sales rep & she said to order my regular size. Now I need to exchange for an 8.5 and won't have them in time for my trip. Lesson learned: Don't call a sales rep!

Best Multipurpose Shoe for me
These shoes are so comfortable I seem to have a collection for multipurpose use. I have 4 pairs of these shoes for separate tasks: Gardening, Walking Around Town, Restaurant night and lastly Indoor wear.

Bring back the old version
It's those of us who wore these for decades who are so disappointed - Merrill should have just said that "our" shoe was discontinued and named this something else. My biggest complaint is that the old black ones could pass as business dress shoes with trousers, but now the soles are not black and they look too casual. In addition, the heel part in the back is now too high for the shoe to be a slip-on. If I keep them, I'll have to get out my seam-ripper to cut the stupid Merrill tag off the front. I don't know why companies can't leave well enough alone. It was a great shoe.

Great shoes for all day wear
These are super comfortable, fit snugly on feet so you can walk fast when needed. They're effortless to put on, just slide your feet in. Only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that they look a little dorky on your feet, but, hey, at 79 I'm not exactly fashion forward...still....

too expensive for what you get; sole falls apart
These are too expensive for what you get. The materials of the sole separate -the glue seems inadequate. The bottom-most part of the sole (the darker rubber) separates from the foam of the sole. You can try re-gluing them, but so far, nothing I've tried lasts all that long. If you get the right size, they're fairly comfortable until the sole falls apart, but as others have said, the sizing on these has changed and the size you've ordered in the past may not work for this shoe.

They wouldn’t stay on
With every step I took they threatened to come off my feet. I found the design uncomfortable to say the least. The material used for the upper snagged on too many things. These are the first Merrells that I cannot wear. Trying to find someone that can use them.
