Dull & tarnished finish, different from picture

I bought it as a gift for my friend as I always liked Michael Aram's minimalistic chic designs and finishes. The bowl was darker and kinda tarnished comparing to how it was pictured on Macy's website. It was not as nice as other MA pieces I had seen on the Macy's floor and did not reflect the price purchased.
