Runs big in my opinion but a nice jacket otherwise

I purchased grey in size 38S. I would say that it is a 40S, so I decided to return it. I wanted to buy the 36S but they were sold out. This is a beautiful jacket, very good quality, soft material, and sits well open or closed. It is too large in the shoulders, has extra room in the upper arm, and has extra room when you button it, but otherwise it fits well. I have a feeling that I would fit a 36S in this case. I wear a 38S in slim fit blazers, and most of the time I can wear 38S in "classic fit," but many times they are too large. Usually a 36S in slim fit is OK but the button is tight, so I just stick to 38S. I have tried on 40S several times and they fit just like this 38S blazer.
