handles defective

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing my handbag, I bought mine in Nov 2024, but didn't start using until Feb 2025. like so many of the other reviewers my handles also wore away, I was within return time frame but the Macy's I took it too said they could not do anything because it was unsellable. Undeterred I went to another Macy's and was told to write to Michael kors warranty since it was within the year timeframe. I sent an email with pictures and the warranty form, they replied it was not a defect. Still looking for resolution, I started a chat on Michaelkors.com. I sent the warranty form I'd filled out, pictures and my receipt from Macy's online. the agent apologized for the defective handles and issued me a giftcard for the amount I purchased it for. I'm so glad I did not give up. I would not expect this type of quality from MK. I am more wary of buying anything embossed.
