A constricting kaftan? Ridiculous.

Why would anyone ever take a naturally flowy and relaxed garment and sew a bodice into it??? There are two vertical sort of hems under the arms that mutilate this kaftan and make it into basically a body-con chiffon tube with batwings. From summer chilled-out to stressful and constricting. Good job making everything worse over time, dumb humans!
