Beautiful Dress But Long

This is a beautiful dress! When you first put it on, it is not fitted as it appears online (there is no defined waist at all and hangs very sack-like), but the belt cinches the waist in nicely, and it drapes well with a nice, soft flutter in the skirt with movement. However, it hangs to just below the knees on the model with the description noting it is designed to hit mid-calf, and it definitely hits well below that on me. I know the models are typically 5’9”-5’10”ish and I am 5’5”, but dang, I feel like I am a little kid playing dress up in my mother’s dress! I will have to take it in for tailoring to get the below-the-knee/mid-calf length, but I think it is worth it. It would be perfect for a nice dinner, wedding guest, or church event, but it wouldn’t look too dressy if you just felt like an elevated look for a day out shopping or brunch. I loves the dress, and the blue is very pretty! I’m keeping her!
