Tie it upside down around the neck.

Looked nice over a swimsuit and hides some problem areas. Doing the neck tie I tried with the waistband ties going around my neck and it was an epic fail. Turned it upside down and tied it then tied the 2 long wraps together at the bottom in a bow and it looked cute. Also kept it from flying open with a breeze if that concerns you.

Cute cover up but there are heavy metal pieces at the end of each tie that were cumbersome and clunky
