Whimsy on a glass
The entire Cheers collection is fun and whimsical. The glasses have a nice weight and are more stable than some thinner glasses.

Perfect size glasses
These are versatile, look fancy, and seem to hold up well in the dishwasher. Time will tell how well these glasses keep their beautiful looks.

These glasses are more stable
These glasses are more stable than traditional wine glasses; have four different design patterns enabling glass identification at parties; and double as water glasses for everyday use.

Good value as set of 8, very good not fine quality
Three points. 1. The glass itself is relatively good quality. Nice weight, somewhat delicate without feeling fragile. No visible ripples. However, when I lay them on their sides they roll to their heaviest sides. Some are much more imbalanced than others. When I look at,those ones closely I can see unevenness in the distribution of the glass at the base. Packing from the Mikasa factory was outstanding, a partitioned box cushioned inside an outer box, both made of sturdy cardboard (worth saving for a future move!) 2. The etching is ok, but clearly done with a coarse tool. When I look closely at the large dots I see that the etching consists of a series of very close vertical lines. I know it would be more costly to do smoother etching but it would look so much finer. The obvious message is that you get what you pay for. These are nice but definitely not fine glasses. 3. The designs could differ slightly more from one another. I am imagining having friends over, they set their glasses down as they're moving around chatting with one another, and one asks, "Is this mine? I think I had the one with dots." But two of the designs have just dots. Two have just vertical lines. They are clearly different, but I don't think anyone would notice (especially the ones with jist vertical lines) unless they take the time to compare them side by side first. Surely Mikasa won't alter its patterns after having produced probably millions of glasses like these already. I'm just making you aware of this minor issue if you (like I) thought the etchings would be a great way for people to recognize their glases, effectively replacing the wine glass charms that we can no longer use after switching to stemless glasses. They're pretty good for that but not perfect.
