I needed a small container for cheese spread, and this is perfect! Unfortunately, when I took it out of the package, I dropped the little knife spreader and it broke into many pieces, clumsy me. I do have other spreaders that will work just fine. I gave it 4 stars because I think Mikasa should make their cheese knives stronger, or all metal. I also had a cheese knife (with the cheese tray) break in my hand while cutting a room temperature piece of cheese. There was sand in the handle and it poured out all over the cheese. Mikasa did replace the whole set,but I haven't used the new knife, too nervous about it.

Versatile
This little crock is nice and wide, which makes it easier to pick up some spread. So far I've used it for a cheddar cheese dip but I can picture it with hummus or a soft cracker spread.

Had to have it!
I purchased the 45 piece dinnerware set and had to have this to add to my set. Purchased many extra pieces.....love this one, especially because it included the matching spreader. Love it. Shipped in perfect condition.
