The china is beautiful!
The china is gorgeous--even prettier than on the website. Also, it was well packaged but despite that, one dessert plate came broken. But I emailed the help center and they sent me a replacement plate within the week. Thanks, Mikasa!

English Countryside, Functional Elegance
English Countryside is a wonderful pattern in fine china that you can use everyday or to set an elegant table for any occasion. It makes simple dishes taste better, or at least look better. Very high quality at a very affordable price. Will be adding pieces as this will become our main set. Don't be afraid of ordering china online with Mikasa, the packing is the best , everything delivered fast, safe and sound. Thank you Mikasa for a fine product

Poor Quality
I own 2 other sets of Mikasa dishes bought over the last 10 years. This set of dishes is the worst quality I have ever seen in any set of dishes, most of the dishes had 4 dimples in them with the glaze missing on some dishes Do your self a favor and don't buy these

Beautiful versatile pattern, medium-light weight!
After looking at MANY patterns we decided on English Countryside and couldn't be happier. (When a man comments about the quality and beauty of the pattern, which is what my husband said, you know you have a winner). This versatil dinnerware works for both daily use as well as setting an elegant table for holidays or special occasions, and it is a nice weight too....not being heavy like some. It's rich cream on cream color adds to the beauty - a lattice background with a strawberry plant design laced delicately on top. Along with being dishwasher and microwave safe, if need be, it's also safe to put in the freezer and oven.....which isn't often possible with the majority of dinnerware. We'd highly recommend this pattern to our friends and family. A few pieces did break in transit and Mikasa is quickly replacing them free of any charge.
