Glasses are very pretty. However, the glass is so thin that they crack easily. I used one of the glasses, one time and discovered a large crack in the glass.

Modern martini glasses
Festive modern martini glasses with small gold accents. They are substantial, not flimsy glass, and oh so pretty. I may buy another set

Poor packaging and damaged Martini Glass
I purchased 2 sets of these Mikasa stemless martini glasses off of the Knot Registry for a wedding at the end of February. These evidently come from the manufacturer, so I expected them to be packaged very well; but they were packaged very poorly. Each set of 4 came in a box that appears to have been created out of flat cardboard and then taped together on the sides..no manufacturer's box indicating that they are Mikasa. The box had a cardboard divider set inside for each of the 4 glasses. The glasses were then packed in torn up, thin pieces of tissues paper; which basically did not even cover the glass; not even presentable as a gift. It appeared that someone already opened the homemade box and took out the glasses and changed their mind, ripping the tissue paper in the process, then placing them back in the box. Or, possibly, that is just the way the manufacturer carelessly packed them. The top of the 4 divided glasses was a squarish piece of cardboard, that was placed on top to cover all 4 glasses. The cardboard again appeared to be hand cut because it wasn't a perfect square. That was the first box. The second box was packaged the same, except one of the glasses had an extra piece of tissue (looked like Kleenex) resting underneath one of the glasses. Then to top it off, one of the glasses had a deep scratch on the exterior, as well as a chipped piece out of the interior of the glass. The only positive thing out of this experience is Macy's offered to ship out a new set of 4 martini glasses and told me to dispose of the box of 4 with the damaged glass. I am hoping the second box arrives on time, the glasses are free from damage, and the box it comes it looks a little nicer. I repackaged all of the glasses from Box #1 in thicker tissue paper. I may have to do the same with the second box. The glasses have a beautiful design.I just wish Mikasa had a better presentation and better packaging.
