I was initally a little apprehensive with how it would look and was afraid it may look gaudy. However, my husband wore these to a party hosted by some friends and it actually looked very sophisticated. The material is thick and has a matte finish making it look more expensive than it is. It's also adjustable making it easy to get the perfect fit. This helps any outfit look like it's tailored to perfection. The bow tie adds a flair that you don't really get with a tie. I kind of wish the adjustments were in the back so they did not show. The clips are strong and stay attached when wearing. The bow tie has a nice metal clip instead of a plastic like others I have seen.
